Volha Sitnik is a homemaker from Minsk and a mother of three minor children. Since 2009, she has contributed to Wikipedia, writing about Belarusian traditional culture and nature, as well as topics such as breastfeeding. More than twenty of her articles have been awarded "good" or "featured" status. Since 2010, she has continuously served as an administrator of the Belarusian Wikipedia. Volha has made hundreds of thousands of edits and created thousands of articles.


Volha was detained in May 2025. The details of the charges remain unknown, but it appears that she is being prosecuted as part of a criminal case involving other Belarusian Wikipedia administrators who are currently imprisoned.

Ольга Ситник-домохозяйка из Минска, которая растит трех несовершеннолетних детей. В Википедии она с 2009 года пишет о белорусской традиционной культуре и природе, а также на такие темы, как грудное вскармливание. Более двух десятков ее статей были удостоены статуса "хороших»или "отличных". С 2010 года непрерывно является администратором белорусской Википедии. Ольга Ситник внесла сотни тысяч правок в Википедию и создала тысячи статей для нее.

Ольгу задержали в мае 2025 года. Суть обвинений неизвестна, но похоже, что Ситник проходит по уголовному делу с другими администраторами белорусской Википедии, которые сейчас за решеткой.
