Hanna passed away on February 5, 2025 - 7 months after her release from the colony — from cancer that had been diagnosed while she was still imprisoned. Despite the severity of her illness, the fascist Lukashenka regime did not grant her early release.

Hanna Kandratsenka was charged under three articles of the Criminal Code.
Charges indicted:
Art. 369 of the Criminal Code — Insulting a government official
Art. 368 of the Criminal Code — Insulting the President of the Republic of Belarus
Art. 391 of the Criminal Code — Insulting a judge
On July 12, 2022, the Lieninski District Court of Mahilioŭ concluded the criminal proceedings. The trial was presided over by judge Natallia Panasenka.
Based on the evidence presented by the state prosecutor, the court found Kandratsenka guilty of committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 368, Article 369, and Article 391 of the Criminal Code. She was sentenced to 3 years in a general-regime penal colony and a fine of 100 base units (3,200 BYN).
She was held in Prison No. 4 in Mahilioŭ and served her sentence in Penal Colony No. 4.
In July 2023, it was reported that the political prisoner remained in Prison No. 4.
On July 11, 2023, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Mahilioŭ sentenced Hanna under Article 369 of the Criminal Code (insulting a government official). The judge was Olga Kravchenko. She was sentenced to 1 year of imprisonment and a fine of 50 base units. The case was related to a comment she had posted in the Telegram channel “Punishers of Belarus” directed at traffic police inspector Andrei Bagraenka from the Svietlahorsk police department.
By merging the less severe sentence into the harsher one, her total sentence remained 3 years in a general-regime colony. Across all criminal cases, she was ordered to pay the state over 5,000 BYN.
A former political prisoner said about Hanna:
“Anya is going to perish in those prisons. An investigator came to the colony, and she ended up talking herself into a new sentence. Anya is really struggling. She had almost no support from her relatives — only her mother, a pensioner surviving on the minimum pension.
Anya is tall and thin. She has psoriasis, which worsened even more after working with synthetic padding. She was cutting threads and turning clothes inside out. The constant friction with the fabric made things worse.”
On November 16, 2023, it became known that Hanna had been transferred back to Penal Colony No. 4.
She was released on June 20, 2024.
Hanna passed away on February 5, 2025, from cancer. She had been diagnosed with cervical cancer while in prison in Homieĺ. She was taken for treatment to the oncology center in Homieĺ, but despite her serious illness, she was not released early.
Анну Кондратенко обвинили сразу по трем статьям Уголовного кодекса.
Предъявлены обвинения:
ст. 369 Уголовного кодекса — Оскорбление представителя власти
ст. 368 Уголовного кодекса — Оскорбление президента Республики Беларусь
ст. 391 Уголовного кодекса — Оскорбление судьи
В суде Ленинского района Могилева 12 июля 2022 г. завершилось рассмотрение уголовного дела. Судебный процесс вела судья Наталья Понасенко.
С учетом представленных государственным обвинителем доказательств 12 июля 2022 г. суд признал Кондратенко виновной в совершении преступлений по ч. 1 ст. 368, ст. 369 и ст. 391 Уголовного кодекса и по совокупности приговоров ей назначено окончательное наказание в виде лишения свободы на срок три года в колонии общего режима, а также штраф в размере 100 базовых величин (3 200 рублей).
Содержалась в могилевской тюрьме № 4. Отбывала наказание в ИК № 4.
В июле 2023 г. стало известно, что политзаключённая находится в Тюрьме № 4.
11 июля 2023 г. в суде Октябрьского района Могилёва политзаключенную осудили по ст. 369 УК (оскорбление представителя власти). Судья Ольга Кравченко. Итог — 1 год лишения свободы и 50 базовых величин штрафа. Дело было связано с комментарием, оставленным в телеграм-канале "Каратели Беларуси" в адрес инспектора ГАИ Светлогорского РУВД Андрея Баграенка.
Путем поглощения менее строгого наказания более строгим, в совокупности у Анны остался тот же срок в 3 года лишения свободы в условиях колонии общего режима. По всем уголовным делам она была должна государству более 5 тысяч белорусских рублей.
Вот что говорила об Анне бывшая политзаключенная:
"Аня погибнет в этих тюрьмах. К ней следователь в колонию приехал, а она наговорила на новый срок. Ане очень тяжело, у нее поддержки почти не было от родных, у нее только мама пенсионерка, живущая на минимальную пенсию.
Аня высокая и худенькая. У нее псориаз, который после работы с сентипоном еще больше прогрессировать начал. Аня нитки обрезала и выворачивала вещи. От этих трений о ткань у нее стало все хуже”.
16 ноября 2023 г. стало известно, что Анну вернули в ИК № 4.
Вышла на свободу 20 июня 2024 г.
Анна умерла 5 февраля 2025 года от онкологии, рак шейки матки был диагностирован у нее еще в колонии в Гомеле. Ее возили на терапию в онкодиспансер в Гомель, но несмотря на тяжелую болезнь, не освободили досрочно.

She was also given a very large fine. She is a political prisoner, and for me, who was allowed to grow up in a democracy with freedom of speech and freedom of the press, the charges against her can only be understood as the arbitrariness of a totalitarian regime. Hanna knew what the regime in Belarus was capable of, and she refused to be deterred. Former fellow prisoners fear that she may not survive her stay: She suffers from psoriasis, which is aggravated by working with upholstery fleece, and has no means of support from her family. Hanna is fighting for her rights and the rights of all people in Belarus. Her courage and attitude are exemplary. She and all political prisoners are the light in the darkness of the dictatorship in Belarus. It is therefore important to support the democracy movement and I strongly urge Mr Lukashenko to release Hanna and all other political prisoners immediately!”
